How many days til it's summer again?

I'm getting lonely. My kids are in school, my sister is now in school, my brother is MIA in Lexingon and I am all alone til I start work next week :( . I am ready for summer to start again and school is only three weeks in!

I work at the zoo for the fall/winter season and it is so much fun! The people are like family and the zoo is one of my favorite places anyway.

Did I mention i like to fish? Here is a fish I caught last night:

You can't tell but it is a largemouth bass. He was pretty until my husband cut him up into little fishy filets.

What to do with myself!

Now that the kids are back to school I have no idea what to do with myself. I am trying to take on some projects I can't do with three children running around the house but I get bored with that pretty dang easy ! What to do! What to do??????



I can't believe that the unofficial end of summer is in a few weeks! We are going camping but I didn't realize that the Governor's cup (UofK/UofL football game) is that very Sunday :( so I guess we'll have to take a radio/portable TV to watch the game :P

Kids are back to school :(

Well, the kids are back to school. My babies just aren't babies anymore.... Stephanie just started High School and Justin just started Middle. Jessica is in 7th grade. Wow I feel old! I am glad that Stephanie is going to Butler GO BEARS! and that the other two will be too. Now it is pretty dang-on quiet and I don't know how to handle it. I want my babies back!

Kentucky weather

Alot of times people around here complain about how crazy the weather is but for once it's crazy in a good way! 83 in August????? No way! We are going to have to spend all day outside though my video game/computer addicted children just might go into withdrawls.

What is it with kids nowadays? Growing up there were kids EVERYWHERE! My neighborhood has tons of kids but I have barely seen any of them all summer long. I hope it is because they are in childcare and not because they are vegetating in their houses!

Today is so beautiful! I almost feel like it is October instead of August! I hope this lasts a little while!

Last night I went with my mom to walk her dog and she heard a woman tell her 7 y/o "You little M-Fer! You do that again, I am going to beat your "a". What is wrong with people! We are getting quite a few people around here from the bad parts of town and it seems that they are bringing their bad lifestyles with them. **sigh**

Am I crazy?

My kids start back to school August 12th. Most parents are thrilled when their kids go back to school. I am dreading it. Am I crazy? I love having my children with me every day even though they aren't anywhere near babies any more. Maybe one day I will get my head checked.

This is my very first Blog!

I have never blogged before so this is my first! Let me intorduce myself. I am a 34 year old mother of three kids aged 14,12, and 11 married to an Irishman named Peter. We have two dogs and live in Louisville, KY.

That picture was taken in Gatlinburg back in April, I have since highlighted and shortened my hair to my shoulders. I guess I'll have to get some pictures!

I love to fish! I am a country girl at heart though I have been raised in the suburbs. I was born in Inverness, FL, lived in Ocala and Gainsville and then came here when I was 6.
